First came Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

At its Stamford, Connecticut-based headquarters, Starwood is hard at work testing concept rooms filled with smart technology that’s already reached three of its chains: Four Points by Sheraton, boutique concept Aloft and its sustainable Elements brand.

Rush of overseas travelers could hasten Orlando International Airport expansion

With more and more visitors coming to Central Florida, Orlando International Airport officials are taking another look at building a controversial second terminal costing at least $1 billion. A record number of international carriers are signing up at the airport, pushing foreign travelers to a record 12 percent of the 36.1 million passengers who moved through Orlando International during the past 12 months.

Apple Maps Now Includes Hotel Reviews From TripAdvisor and Booking.com

Since the release of Apple’s in-house Maps app as part of iOS 6 back in 2012, Yelp has been the company’s sole partner for integrating customer reviews of businesses and other points of interest. In recent days, however, Apple’s Maps app has begun including reviews from TripAdvisor and Booking.com on select hotel listings.
