Carnival Cruise Line confirms Fun Ship is headed back to Mobile

When Carnival Cruise Line pulled out of the market in Mobile , Ala., back in 2011, it left a $24 million cruise terminal – which the city built specifically for Carnival – to gather dust. But it might be time to throw open the windows and start polishing, since the cruise line is in negotiations to again homeport a ship in the Gulf Coast city.

Local Challenge to New Cruise Ship Terminal in Charleston Countered by Port Authority

The South Carolina Court of Appeals should let stand a state permit for a $35 million cruise terminal in Charleston, attorneys for the South Carolina Ports Authority argue. Attorneys on Wednesday filed a 64-page brief in response to a challenge to the permit brought by terminal opponents including neighborhood, preservation and conservation groups.
