Sir John Parker inspires Seven Kings High School pupils

Sir John Parker, who made his name in shipbuilding, convinced pupils at Seven Kings High School in Ley Street, that engineering was more than just about building bridges. About 90 pupils from Year nine through to Year 13 found out about robotics and building prosthetic limbs as the businessman, who is chairman of mining company Anglo American and director of multinational cruise company Carnival among others, gave a talk last week.
