Princess Cruises getting new ship in 2020

Carnival Corp. said the fifth ship in a group covered by a memo of understanding with Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard will join the Princess Cruises fleet. Carnival had previously disclosed that one ship in the group would go to Princess.

Lufthansa Targets Gulf With Premium Economy

Lufthansa will launch premium economy service to the Middle East later this month, as it goes head-to-head on quality with Gulf rivals. The German carrier has often been at the forefront of a war of words between established Western airlines and their Gulf competition including Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways.

Expedia targets Australian corporate travel market with Egencia

Expedia chief executive Dara Khosrowshahi and chief financial officer Mark Okerstrom are looking to raise Egencia’s share of Australian corporate bookings. Egencia, the corporate travel arm of online giant Expedia, is looking to make further inroads into the Australian market, where its growth rate exceeds rivals such as Flight Centre Travel Management and Corporate Travel Management but from a much smaller transactional base.
